Busy week and beautiful weather

Once again, we have lots of pictures again to capture our fun and busy week. You'd think I was a tourist or something, instead of a Mommy of a 15 month old boy. Mia and Papa came to visit and we went to a pumpkin patch to enjoy the fantastic weather. Then on Sunday, Mia and Papa babysat and Papa and Jacob put together a little adirondack chair. He loves to sit in our chair on the porch, so one of his own was only fitting. Monday was his 15 month checkup. He is 23.0lbs (26%) and 31" tall (41%). He finally grew-nearly 2 inches in 3 months. I guess all that sleeping has been doing him good. He is solidly in 12-18 month clothes now. I can't believe how fast he has grown. On Thursday we visited the Oil Ranch with some new friends in the playgroup and we had a great time. There were a lot animals and room to run, two of Jacob's favorite things. Speaking of running, that is his primary mode of movement now, arms swinging and legs toddling, it is one of the more adorable things in the world. A few more words have emerged too including car, all gone, and banana. As for food, Jacob has decided to become a picky eater (which amazes me, on one hand, considering how much he eats, but after knowing how picky his mommy is, I shouldn't be surprised at all), so we introduced dipping our food in ketchup and he caught on quickly and loves it. We'll see if it works for ranch dressing and BBQ sauce, maybe he'll eat those veggies a little more.Cooler weather is here, so out came the jeans and jackets-we love it. I finally had to sift through the mountains of hand-me-down clothes to find some that Jacob could wear. There are some really cute clothes there - I'm so thankful for the great friends who passed the clothes along.

Day 1

OK, so after hearing about blogging and reading some friends blogs, I thought this was the way to go. Ever since my son was born, I have been very faithful about sending weekly pictures with a little update about what he's been up to and what he's learning. The least I can do is blog once a week and save the little tidbits of info for all to read. So..that is what I have decided I will do. If it grows from there, then so be it. But, at least I'll start small, so I know I'll have a chance at not failing. I really don't like to fail...
