OK, so we did it...

I sent Jacob to school in underwear instead of a pull-up today. We'll see what happens. He's only been in underwear at home the last couple of days and we did have one accident. His teacher says he rarely goes in his pull up (probably because they are extremely diligent in taking him to the potty often, whether or not he says he has to go) so I'm hoping for the best. I just felt like we needed to take that step forward since this process seems to be taking way too long (though he's probably perfectly normal for a little boy...)

**Update - his teacher didn't leave him in his underwear since at school he only goes when they take him, he doesn't ask to go or go on his own. Oh well. :)

  1. Good luck. Samuel's teacher specifically asked me not to do that yet :). He will definitely go in a pull up all day long. We'll concentrate on undies at home. It's normal to be a long process. You just make it to different steps. For example, we kept Julia in pull ups for road trips way past the time she was fine in panties. She still wears pull ups at night in hotels and on trips b/c she can sometimes have accidents. Hope today goes well. If Sam was in a class of all 2 yr olds it'd be different but he's the only one potty training now.
