Discovery Green

Today we decided to make a trip down to Discovery Green in downtown Houston. We went once before back in early September and had a good time. Even though it was much warmer this time around, we had a great time.

Jacob enjoyed playing in the jumping water and water mister

and Luke enjoyed hanging out in the stroller and crawling around on the blanket and grass.

The annual art car parade was scheduled for today, but even though we didn't stay for the parade, we got to see a few of the cars up close and personal.

And Jacob ended the day with an extra special treat - an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck, a first for him. As you can see...he enjoyed it.

  3. Last year, the boys (all three) and I did this exact activity on the Art Car parade day; while, Lisa and Elizabeth were out of town at a wedding. We were planning on just going to the Discovery Green, but the boys saw a massive chicken car and well we were then off to see the parade after a side trip to McDonald's. So what was supposed to be a two hour excursion turned into a ine hour trip (with a stop at CVS to get a bottle for Ryan). I was sad we missed it this year because of other activities, but you should try to take Jacob and Luke next year.
