Busy busy busy

**Once again, the pictures and 'week in review' are late. They are from 3 weeks ago (8/17-8/23).

After a slower, low-key week, we got back into the swing of being busy this week. We visited the zoo (even though it was HOT), went swimming at our pool and the YMCA pool, had a playdate and lunch with friends, and had some friends over to play as well. The boys took some excellent naps last week!
Jacob and Daddy went to the Texans game on Saturday night and had a lot of fun. Daddy loves to tailgate and Jacob loves to eat treats and drink juice boxes, so both were happy with their effort.
Daddy had some dry ice from a cooler of meat he received in the mail which provided some entertainment for the boys (and David too!)

We also went to the gym almost everyday which is where Jacob got his first true shiner. Friday night was cousin Caroline's 4th birthday party at Chuck-E-Cheese.
We continue to struggle with disobedience and defiance with Jacob and are looking for other ways to get through to him. I know it is a 3-year-old thing, but it is really getting old.
Luke is really standing up for himself with Jacob lately, which has caught Jacob by surprise. Of course, Luke still cries when Jacob touches him or does anything he doesn't like, but I'm starting to let them work things out if I know Luke isn't hurt by Jacob's actions.
The other pictures from the week are here.

  1. I love all the pictures on this post. Sounds like an active week which makes for a good week sleepwise and happinesswise for the kids. The tailgating together is adorable. Isn't it great when the kids can go do activities w/ daddy alone for special time. I'm so impressed w/ the daily trips to the Y!
