Are we going to have a thumb sucker?

After Luke had been crying for a little while before his nap this morning, he seemed to abruptly go silent, so I went in to check on him. This is what I found:

He won't take a pacifier (at least not in the traditional way, he just likes to chew on it now that he is teething), but it seems his thumb will do the trick.

I also decided on a whim today to give Luke some water in a bottle to see what he would do. Here is the result:

He actually was drinking the water a little bit too (in between chewing on it like a chew toy.) Perhaps I should try putting milk in it sometime...
